Effigy

​

    With a team of 10 and 3 external, we are currently carrying out this project with the aim of being published on Steam.
    Effigy is a first-person horror game that takes place in an oppressive cave inhabited by statues which won't stop chasing the player unless they are covered by a light.

 

 

    We are two programmers in this project, I took the roles of Lead Programmer and Gameplay Programmer.
    Effigy is an opportunity for me to familiarize myself with the Unreal Engine and develop my C++ skills.

    My main tasks on the project are the realization of AI and the behaviours of the different types of Statues.

 

 

 

    For the realization of the Statues I used a Behavior Tree which makes the functioning of the AI ​​more visible, but also allow a simpler tweaking of behaviors for the Game Designer who works in pair with me.

    For these same reasons and for a faster prototyping, I develop the different behaviors with Unreal blueprints.
